Meet the Owner – Klaus Hornberger
I was born in Germany and grew up in Oehringen – (the little town where the socceroos stayed During the 2006 World Cup). I started as an apprentice motor mechanic in 1975 and was awarded my German Master Certificate in 1988. The Master Certificate is a requirement in Germany for any Motor Mechanic wanting to open their own workshop. It is acquired after 2 years of high level courses and tests on vehicle mechanical diagnostics, workshop practices, safety, ethics and much, much more – all of which I still apply to my day to day practices.
I moved to Australia with my wife in 1990. After settling in and working for the above-mentioned enterprises, I started my own workshop in January 1992. We then moved to where we now are, Factory 2, 808 Mountain Highway, Bayswater in 1994. Being responsible for my own workmanship, values and ethics is the best move that I could have ever made. I have a very great relationship with my clients, many of whom have been coming to me over the years and have happily recommended me to their family and friends. As a business owner, referred clients is the ultimate compliment as it is a testament to a job well done and the propagation of happy and satisfied clients.
So, in summary, I have a German Motor Mechanic Certificate; a Master Mechanic Certificate, an Australian Motor Mechanic Certificate and a Tradesman Motor Mechanic Certificate. I am a Licensed RWC tester.
